I didn't get as much crafting done in the last week as I would have liked. I'm finding it hard to create an equal balance of home, work, swimming and crafting. Not enough hours in the day.
What I did manage:
I made quite a lot of Gluten free Lebkuchen. This picture is the third tray I made. I made them primarily as a gift for my friend Amy, who had her birthday yesterday and I made them with gluten free flour because my mum wanted to try one. I also made Vegan chocolate brownies for my friend Joe who had his birthday last Friday. I forgot to take a picture of them. Doh.
Amy and Joe's cross stitched birthday cake cards. The card and envelopes are by Artoz from a shop in town. Amy had the Strawberry cake card and Joe had the other. The '1,2,yeah yeah' on his card is in reference to the fact he is one of the sound engineers at my pub and that is what he says when he is testing out the gear. The cupcake on his card is the first I have stitched freestyle without a chart - all from my head. I was dubious at first, but I like it now.
Sydney progressed. The letters in Sydney are now complete I did more purple work above the e and second Y and pink work below the n. This is going to take a long time.
This picture is for WOYWW regular, Anne. She took the time to stop by my blog last week and said she was intrigued by the star on my motivation board that reads 'Felicity the Lobster'. I started stitching it in between the San Francisco and Sydney tapestries as I needed a smaller scale break for a while. I will keep working on it.
I saw a similar video to this the other day and thought it was magic! I shall be making one soon, I hope!
Thank you for popping by. If you have the time, I hope you will visit some of the other deskers on this week's WOYWW.
See you next week!
Hi Lucy, loving your cards, am totally impressed that you cross stitched those gorgeous cards, I'll just pop over for a cuppa and some of those biscuits!!
ReplyDeleteWell done on your motivational board a really great idea.

Love your cross stitch cards. Sadly a thing of the past crafting for me as my eyes don't allow any more. Still have lots of threads and canvas though.

I do love looking at your cross stitch projects - they're so funky, very different from the myriad of kits you see out there. The roadie card really made me smile as did Felicity :-D

Happy WOYWW. It is lovely to see cross stitching - and the Sydney design is glorious. I used to do a lot of stitching (7 hours per day!), but lost my stitchy bug a few years ago and not picked up a needle since. I am with Lynn - and my dirty mind saw something else than a lobster! Ali x #26
ReplyDeleteCross stitching was what led me to card and paper crafting. I haven't done any for a while, but still have loads of supplies and pattern books. Love the way the Sydney tapestry is coming on. Happy WOYWW Sarah #25
